Mr. Nimerala serves as a Senior Vice President & Chief Asset Officer for Easterly Government Properties.
Mr. Nimerala is responsible for asset management of the firm’s portfolio, including managing the financial performance of the assets, property operations, leasing, capital planning and investment, and tenant satisfaction.
Prior to joining Easterly, Mr. Nimerala was a Vice President in JLL’s Public Institutions group where he served as Regional Manager for the National Capital Region on the GSA National Broker Contract. In addition to managing a team of real estate transaction managers, Mr. Nimerala completed over 2.5 million square feet of transactions totaling approximately $1 billion in lease value on behalf of the Federal Government throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to his time on the GSA National Broker Contract, Mr. Nimerala worked as a real estate advisor in JLL’s Public Institutions group. Mr. Nimerala started his career at GSA Headquarters in the Office of Real Property Asset Management where he conducted portfolio analysis on GSA’s nationwide inventory of owned and leased properties.
