Mr. Corkhill is a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Advisor with more than 22 years of experience. In the summer of 2009, after working the majority of his career at large firms such as Grubb & Ellis and Charles E. Smith representing both tenants and landlords, he started Potomac Real Estate Partners, LLC (“PREP”). The sole focus of the firm is tenant representation services. He draws from his previous experience as a landlord agent to increase his client's leverage in the lease negotiation process.
Today's market is ripe for very favorable tenant deals. In fact, the majority of landlords are willing to enter into early renewal negotiations two years prior to a lease expiration date. The softness in today's market has created a unique opportunity to renegotiate lease terms. Mr. Corkhill's experience and knowledge in this niche add significant value in these transactions.
Mr. Corkhill received his bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University in Business Management and Economics. Due to his background in finance and analysis, he is able to negotiate and secure the best deals for his clients. Since 1996, he has managed transactions in excess of 25 million square feet.
