After receiving a degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with high honors in 1987, Oliver A. Smith, IV joined his family’s real estate firm. He personally trained in real estate development, investments, brokerage and syndications under the tutelage of Oliver A. Smith, Jr., until his demise in 1990. At that time, Mr. Smith became president and sole owner of Oliver Smith Realty & Auction Co., Inc.
Oliver A. Smith, IV continues the involvement of the company with the region’s growth. He pushes his team to record sales levels and put together sales and leasing associates that are known throughout the industry for their production. Mr. Smith sits upon a number of professional and civic boards as well as charitable organizations. He was President and has been named to the Hall of Fame of Keep Knoxville Beautiful, a nationally recognized affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. He has been a member of the Economic Development Board for the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership and was a founding member and past president of the internationally recognized Young Entrepreneur Organization’s Knoxville Chapter. He was President of West Knoxville Rotary Club and Simply Smart Foundation for Education. He is an alumni member of the 2018 Leadership of Knoxville class.
With numerous developments underway and with close relationships to national and regional clientele which have been obtained through years of being in the industry, Oliver A.
