Yost is extensively involved in community affairs, having served on the Murray City Economic Development Advisory Board and now on the Murray City Board of Appeals. He has also served on the Salt Lake County Recreation District Advisory Board, Murray Recreation Advisory Board, and the Murray City Board of Appeals multiple times. He gained in-depth experience in community planning and zoning issues as a member of the Murray City Community Planning Council. He is a lifetime member of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and serves on NAIOP and CCIM committees.
Prior to joining Colliers Yost's tenure as an office and medical development/investment specialist at Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce, Yost has consummated thousands of transactions in all areas of leasing, sales, assemblage of land and acquisition of investment properties. Yost has also earned the CCIM designation. As a graduate of the CCIM education program, the most challenging in the industry, Yost brings an exceptional level of real-world experience, market knowledge and negotiation skills to each client assignment. Yost is an Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces qualified retired officer in the United States Army and is a highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. His educational experience includes studies at Idaho State University and Brigham Young University with a focus on marketing and psychology.
Yost is a sports enthusiast and has completed the Salt Lake City Deseret News, St. George, and Los Angeles marathons. He has also served many positions with Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) as part of the U.S. Soccer Federation. He currently serves as Chair of the UYSA Tournament Sanctioning Committee.
