Patrick Shannon brings over twenty years of commercial real estate experience to Milestone, including appraisal, financial analysis, consulting, management services, and sales, leasing, and financing transactions.
As Asset Manager for Milestone, Mr. Shannon utilizes his diverse real estate background to strategically position existing assets, as well as provide financial and market analyses to evaluate new acquisitions and investments. Mr. Shannon performs feasibility analyses and prepares reports using knowledge gained in property management, brokerage, and appraisal, providing maximum value to Milestone’s clients.
Mr. Shannon began his real estate career in commercial appraisal. Over a three-year period Mr. Shannon completed appraisals and analyses for properties throughout Michigan including industrial, retail, office, school, and subdivision development. He specialized in preparing appraisals for tax appeals and has completed several appraisals for national clients’ property tax appeals in the State of Michigan.
As a Senior Financial Analyst for Cushman & Wakefield in the Financial Systems Group, he developed financial analyses, performed feasibility studies, and prepared marketing reports for commercial properties for financing, disposition, acquisition, portfolio management, and leasing. Mr. Shannon prepared disposition proposals and offering memoranda for several investment properties, partnering with investment real estate brokers to complete sale, lease, and financing transactions.
Subsequently, Mr. Shannon moved to the Financial Services Group at Cushman & Wakefield as a broker and partnered to consult, sell and/or finance retail, industrial, and office real estate, including the recapitalization of a 2.0 million square foot office portfolio. Transaction types included fee simple sales, leasing, synthetic leasing, and financial analysis for investment strategy. Mr. Shannon was named broker “Rookie of the Year” in 1999 and in 2000 was part of a four-person team to receive the “Deal of the Year” award.
Most recently, Mr. Shannon was Portfolio Manager for the Nemer Property Group. His primary responsibilities included budgeting, third party contract negotiations, expense reimbursement maximization, managing capital projects, and providing portfolio analysis and valuation on a multi-million dollar office and retail portfolio.
A licensed broker in the State of Michigan, Mr. Shannon holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan.
