Kingfisher’s Principal, Paul Goodman, received an MA in Environmental Science from Boston University and a BA in Political Science from Lake Forest College. Prior to founding Kingfisher Group in May 2001, Mr. Goodman was a principal at Great Realty Advisors, a property valuation and real estate services company, and participated in a team as a final round bidder in a proposal to manage a $200,000 EPA Grant for the South Suburban Chicago Brownfields Coalition (SSCBC) in February 2001. Prior positions include senior consultant in the environmental practice at Arthur Andersen LLP, and a Brownfields Project Manager at the City of Chicago Department of Environment.
Mr. Goodman has authored several articles on brownfields, including: “Sweetening the Deal,” Brownfield News, February 1998; “Brownfield Tax Incentives,” Illinois Real Estate Journal, April 2000, “Brownfields Update,” Illinois Real Estate Journal, July 2001, and “Not So Fast! Kingfisher Group is a member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the City Club of Chicago. Mr. Goodman is a former board member of the Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals (IAEP), has received the Occupational, Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 40-hour certification, an AHERA accreditation for an Asbestos Inspector, and is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation.
