Peter M. Gottesman, a Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of CRESA Partners, has over twenty-five years of experience advising tenants and other users of commercial space. He began his real estate career in New York City, where he has continued to remain active since moving to the Washington area in 1982. Prior to his career as a real estate advisor, Mr. Gottesman worked for Mayor John Lindsay in the economic development office of the City of New York. In serving his clients, Mr. Gottesman's primary focus is to learn as much as possible about both their long- and short-term business objectives. Using that knowledge, he develops real estate strategies customized to each client's needs. Some of Mr. Gottesman's clients include AETEA Information Technology Corporation, Natural Resources Defense Council, Institute of International Education, The Equitable Life Assurance Society and The Delegation of the European Commission. Mr. Gottesman has written articles for Washington Business Properties Magazine, Real Estate Forum and The New York Real Estate Weekly. These articles focused on such topics as the measurement of office space, market trends and the advanced lease renegotiation. Mr. Gottesman received his BA from Hofstra University in New York State. In addition, he took graduate studies in real estate and marketing at Baruch College, City College of New York. He resides in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife and two children.
