Current esponsibilities include acquisition of property in support of numerous public works projects in the greater Sacramento area. Primarily acquire the necessary property rights in support of the County of Sacramento Department of Transportation projects. The property rights Peter acquires range from Full Acquisition of a subject property to acquisition of Easements such as: Public Utilities and Public Facilities Easements, Public Roadway Easements, and Temporary Construction Easements. The goal is to provide the County of Sacramento with the necessary Rights of Way for a particular project. As a government agency the County of Sacramento has the ability to utilize Eminent Domain during the acquisition process. The practice of using Eminent Domain in California has very strict rules and legal requirements as dictated by law. The Sacramento County Real Estate Division is the only CAL TRANS Level III certified agency in California.
