Bio
A native from The Netherlands, Peter opted to move his family to Austin in 1999 after several years in England. Peter holds a degree in law from a leading Dutch University, but he decided early on that sales, marketing, and customer service were a better fit for his skills and personality. After an extensive sales career in the high-tech industry, a career which had him traveling globally to manage multimillion dollar accounts, Peter decided to spend less time at hotels, on airplanes, and away from his family so that he could start in a profession in which his impact on people's lives was more readily apparent. This led him to focus his efforts on a career in real estate, where he could truly make a difference.
He stands firm in his belief that his experience dealing with challenging accounts worldwide has given him a competitive edge in the real estate market, experience he is now able to offer his local real estate clients. His vast know-how in business negotiations with people from all over the United States, as well as the rest of the world, will benefit his clients, no matter where they may hail from. Peter has a keen understanding of cultural differences, societal gaps and shifts, and global perspectives, and in addition to the complicated languages of business and real estate, Peter speaks French, German, Dutch, and English, another vital skill set which he is now able to offer his real estate clients.
Peter specializes in helping his clients sell and buy residential and commercial real estate, primarily in the Central and Southwest Austin areas.
In addition to serving his clients, Peter enjoys spending time on the lake with his wife and grown kids (when they are not off at college), hiking with his two dogs, working on classic cars, and the charity car show which he co-organizes every year.
