Phil Bottfeld, Chief Financial Officer, joined WREI in 2020 and is primarily responsible for the accounting, financial planning, and treasury functions of WREI. Previously from 2014-2020, Phil served as the Director of Fund Accounting at Elion Partners, LLC where he oversaw the finance and accounting departments that spanned over $1.5 billion of assets under management. From 2010-2013, Phil served as a Senior Assurance Associate of Ernst & Young where he led audit engagements specializing in real estate, technology and large municipalities. Phil serves as a board member of Florida International University’s Real Estate Alumni Affinity Council. Phil earned his Master of Accounting from Florida International University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Florida. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.
