Bio
Phil has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and investment with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in mortgage banking, underwriting, acquisitions, dispositions and asset management. In his career Phil has held responsible positions with GE Capital, Travelers Insurance Company, Allied Capital, MGP Real Estate, Carey Winston and Encompass Real Estate Advisors. He is qualified as an expert witness on capital markets and commercial real estate underwriting in US Federal District Court, and is a member of the advisory board and investment committee of Hamilton Real Estate Fund, which specializes in the acquisition of distressed commercial real estate debt and REO.
Phil is a past president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC (2002) and is a licensed commercial real estate broker in Maryland and California. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and in 2012 obtained a Masters Degree in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech University with an emphasis on financing infrastructure, energy conservation and sustainable investments. Phil is married with two daughters.
