Bio
Rachel Barnes started in Commercial Real Estate in April, 2006 after receiving her BA from the University of Iowa in American Studies. She diligently and tirelessly adopted the talent and skills required to go to the top in the Commercial Real Estate field. She excels in extensive and accurate research, client communication and tailoring her service to the exact and narrow requirements of each client. Rachel performs this service by first listening to the clients’ requirements and determining exactly what their needs are and then sets about filling them. Her research skills and sensitivity to clients’ requirements have distinguished her with her co-workers and clients alike. Commercial Real Estate is a people business, not a numbers business is one of Rachel’s favorite sayings. Yes, numbers and analysis are critical to good outcomes, but unless you serve the client, your service seems empty and generic. Rachel’s routine tasks include the following areas, both independently as a Commercial Agent and also in a partnership role with Jeff Edberg, CCIM, SIOR, the manager of Lepic Kroeger Realtors Commercial Group Office: Research and analyze properties, track sale and lease transactions, develop and execute marketing programs, post and monitor web marketing assets, show properties to buying and leasing clients, monitor client communications, select and represent Commercial Real Estate clients Rachel did not set out to enter the world of Commercial Real Estate. Commercial Real Estate really chose her. A friend identified skills and personality traits that would help her succeed in Commercial Real Estate. She started as an apprentice and worked up to being a team member, and now holds the prestigious CCIM commercial investment real estate designation from the National Association of Realtors along with just 1% of the Realtors in the United States.
