Ric Russell has over 35 years of experience specializing in the sale of multifamily properties and residential development projects throughout Northern California. He has represented institutional and private buyers and sellers in hundreds of property sales. Recent transactions include the sale of a 200-unit apartment development site and 152-unit apartment project. He is a licensed attorney.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews in 2023, Ric spent nearly 20 years at Cushman & Wakefield in San Francisco/Oakland where he served as Executive Managing Director. His career began at Marcus & Millichap as a senior investment advisor and progressed to director of the firm’s flagship Bay Area office.
In 2003, he joined BT Commercial in San Francisco, where he was a top producer and managed the multifamily and net leased divisions. He was also responsible for advising on company legal matters.
In 2010, BT Commercial — together with companies from the East Coast, Midwest, Southern California, and Arizona — formed Cassidy Turley, a new national firm. As a member of BT’s Board of Directors, Ric was closely involved in the formation and management of Cassidy Turley. The company was acquired by the private equity firm TPG, eventually merging with Cushman & Wakefield.
