Bio
Richard B. Maltz, CAI, CES, is chief executive officer of Maltz Auctions, a nationally recognized full-service auction firm, headquartered in a state-of-the-art 35,000 sq ft auction facility on five acres of property in Central Islip, N.Y. Maltz boasts a virtually unmatched success rate and is recognized as a leader in the auction method of marketing with a brand associated with professionalism, integrity, and success. During his career, Maltz has handled the sale of numerous luxury residential estates and unique commercial assets including a partially built hotel in Manhattan and an operating hotel in Long Beach for $30,750,000 and $27,400,000, respectively. Additionally, he oversaw the sale of a $10,400,000 million residential estate on Long Island’s East End and an $8,200,000 luxurious Manhattan condo on behalf of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal Service. His firm further solidified itself as the preeminent firm with the $19,000,000 sale of the Woodcrest Golf Club on Long Island’s North Shore. Pre-pandemic Maltz was credited with orchestrating live residential and commercial auction events with single-day portfolio proceeds of more than $30,000,000. He also crafted a niche selling New York City taxi medallions and has sold in excess of 250 medallions to third-party buyers since 2017. At the onset of the pandemic, Maltz pivoted to an online proprietary platform. Currently, Maltz leads a staff of team members with the diversified knowledge and experience to sell virtually any class of real estate. Maltz received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a dual major in business management and entrepreneurship. He earned his Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University’s School of Real Estate.
