PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Upon graduation from North Georgia College and State University, Mr. Mathews served six years as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He then joined Lendman Associates, a National personnel consulting and recruiting firm, and spent seven years culminating as Vice President, Northeast Region.
In 1984, Mr. Mathews took his consulting and service background into a real estate career. His consistent leadership and sales production within the brokerage community has earned him recognition as one of Atlanta's top Tenant Representatives.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
His extensive client list includes, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, Nedlloyd Lines, Inc., Omni Insurance (The Hartford), Federated Department Stores and Federated Systems Group. He is recognized for his representation of such corporate tenants in their relocations, consolidations and dispositions. Most noteworthy are his assignments for Rich's/Macy’s Inc. (170,000 SF), The Home Depot (120,000 SF), Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company (85,000 SF), Federated Systems Group (320,000 SF), Omni Insurance (The Hartford) (107,000 SF), March First (60,000 SF), Kurt Salmon Associates (58,000 SF) and Ross Systems (30,000 SF).
Additionally, Mr. Mathews has been involved in build-to-suit and improved property sales for his clients. These assignments include the sales of the former Rich’s Downtown Department Store and Office Building (1,200,000 SF), 180 Peachtree Street (570,000 SF), Northside Tower (120,000 SF), Avon Facility (340,000 SF and 35 Acres), Suncoast Center (200,000 SF), 275 Peachtree St. (275,000 SF), and multiple smaller land/building sale transactions in and around Metro Atlanta.

Mr. Mathews volunteer activities include serving as the 2001 President of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, President of the Dunwoody High School Gridiron and Diamond Clubs, member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and past President of the Georgia Chapter (1996), past President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Murphey Candler Little League (1986-97), past President of the North Georgia College and State University (NGCSU) Alumni Association and currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for the NGCSU Foundation and Member of the Board of Directors of the Midtown Alliance.
