Roberta “Robbi” Correa is a retired Public Administrator, Realtor, Small Business Owner, and Community Volunteer. Born and raised in Providence, RI; Robbi attended Rhode Island College with a focus on Special Education and History. A move to Northeast Connecticut after college resulted in a twenty-seven-year career as a Public Administrator with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. During that time Robbi also volunteered with the Special Olympics, the ARC of Quinebaug Valley, Thompson, CT Historical Society, and downtown Putnam, Connecticut revitalization efforts. After moving to Palatka in 2007, Robbi worked as a consultant for the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities until 2009. Since that time Robbi has been a licensed Real Estate Associate with Duck Realty, Inc. specializing in historic properties, and a downtown Palatka merchant at River City Antiques & Collectibles. Robbi owns a historic home in the South Historic District and has restored several historic homes in Connecticut and Florida. Robbi is a member and/or on the board of several community organizations including Revitalize Historic Palatka, Inc., Palatka Historic Preservation Board, Conlee-Snyder Mural Committee, Putnam County Historical Society, GFWC Woman’s Club, The Bartram Society of Florida, GIFT, the Arts Council of Greater Palatka and Develop Palatka, Inc. Robbi has authored several articles for the following publications: “The Florida Preservationist” the Florida Trust newsletter, “Where to Retire To” magazine, and “This Old House” online magazine which resulted in Palatka’s South Historic District being chosen as the Best Old House Neighborhood in Florida for 2011. She has experience in grant writing and the National Register of Historic Places listing application process. Robbi has authored several Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) programs resulting in the exterior restoration of over 80 homes in the Palatka CRA district. Her greatest achievement and source of pride are her children; Casey, Joshua, Jared, and Nathan, and her grandchildren; Chase, Emily, Jace, and Aubrey.
