Roger Thomas has been with Cooke & Arkwright since 1972. He became a Partner in 1983 and a Director when the firm incorporated in 1991. He is the Director within the Cardiff office with principal responsibility for Office Agency, and became Chairman of Cooke & Arkwright in 2001.
He has been involved in the majority of the major office transactions in South Wales for the last 35 years, advising occupiers and landlords alike, including the Award winning NCM (Atradius) building in Cardiff Bay, the site for the new National Assembly for Wales headquarters, No. 1 Kingsway, etc. He was the lead co-ordinator of the firm’s advice to Helical Bar Plc on its acquisition of the £30m B.P. Pension Trust South Wales portfolio.
Roger Thomas is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Committee Member of the British Council of Offices (West of England and Wales Chapter) and a member of the Office Agents Society (Western Region). He is Chairman of the Cardiff Commercial Agents Property Forum. He also sits on the Investment Board of the Representative Body of the Church in Wales, and is Co-Chairman of the Variety Club (Wales) Property Awards Committee.
Roger Thomas was born in Cardiff in 1953 and educated at Ellesmere College, Shropshire. Part of his time with Cooke & Arkwright was spent in the firm’s London office in the late 1970’s.
