Ronald J. Bowden, partner and VP at Evergreen Investment Corp., graduated in 1974 from George Fox College in Newberg, Oregon with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business and Economics. Mr. Bowden has also taken numerous courses and seminars relating to banking, finance and real estate, holding the distinguished CCIM designation issued by the Commercial Real Estate Council of the National Association of Realtors. Immediately following college, Ron worked in the banking industry concluding his career in that industry as Executive VP for a savings and loan working as head of the REO/Workout division of the institution being responsible for oversight of $200MM in asset management and disposition. Currently he is licensed in both Indiana and Oregon. Ron is a specialist in single agency client representation but also works with small group ownerships in income and value-add properties primarily located in the South Central and Mid-West portions of the U.S. However, over the years has worked in over 25 different states on a nationwide basis as well. Asset Management responsibilities have included construction and development oversight covering a wide variety of real estate ventures to include both land development, vertical construction and value-added properties.
Mr. Bowden has held various positions in numerous state and national real estate organizations most notably a past president of the Society of Exchange Counselors, (SEC). Within the SEC Ron has been a past recipient of the "Counselor of the Year" award in 1999, a four time winner of the "Yvonne Nasch" award given for the completion of the largest number of closed transactions for the year as well as a two-time recipient of the "Cliff Weaver" award given for the most creative transaction of the year. He has also been the recipient of the most creative exchange of the year in both Indiana and Oregon. The National Counsel of Exchangors in 1995 awarded Ron the "Client Service Award" given for efforts in working with clients. Over the years, he has been a speaker/educator to national and local real estate groups, and has been awarded numerous local and national awards for his activity and service to the real estate industry.
Ron has been married to his wife, Ginia, for 43 years with two children, Kimball Bowden and Alexis Ray both married. Ron and Ginia enjoy time with their four grandchildren.
