I did my Bachelors in Arts from the Bhopal University and started my career as a teacher for the 5th standard in Roseland English Medium High School of Jalgaon. I did my Masters in English Literature from the University of Pune. After a few years of teaching experience I went on to the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL – Hyderabad) to work on an MPhil in the teaching of English. I taught English for the secondary school section (STD 8th, 9th and 10th) at Roseland English Medium High School in Jalgaon and also was a visiting lecturer at Iqra's college for women in my hometown of Jalgaon.
I have taught at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton Colorado and Westwood Technical Institute in Denver Colorado for two years prior to moving to Tallahassee. Also, am a certified LVA (Literacy Volunteer of America).
The Rotary District 3030 chose me for a Group Study Exchange Program under which I visited Germany and Brazil to study the Education systems there and traveled as an ambassador of Rotary.
I enjoy traveling and reading travelogues, I visited the US and Canada as a tourist in 1989. Also explored Kenya, Tanzania, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Pakistan, the Himachal pradesh in India and went trekking and camping by River Beas in Manali.
Played and coached the District team for Womens Hockey! We made it to the open women’s state tournament. My other interests are reading, teaching, reading to little kids, music, dancing with my son and daughter, skating, canoeing, swimming, sitting at the beach and watching the sunset!
At present, I am a Real Estate professional working with Keller Williams Realty of Tallahassee.
