Prior to Cape Horn Group, Mr. Cora had over 10 years experience in commercial office sector in Chicago, acting as a representative on behalf of both tenants and landlords.
From 1996 - 1998 he worked at Frain Camins & Swartchild as a tenant representative where he advised corporate clients in matters of commercial real estate. He provided continuous liaison to banks, attorneys, contractors and architects throughout all phases of lease negotiations. Closed 17 deals within 18 months, with lease values totaling over $5 million.
In addition, he was responsible for preparing comprehensive real estate analysis for prospective commercial properties for residential conversion throughout Chicago.
During his time at The Lurie Company (1998-2001), and subsequently Lurie Management, LLC (2001-2006), his primary responsibility was negotiating leases on behalf of ownership, and maintaining both tenant and broker relationships. The portfolio consisted of over 1 million square feet and he completed over 150 leases totaling more than 800,000 square feet.
Defined and achieved the corporate goal of changing the tenancy business demographic to a more profitable and stable level.
Mr. Cora attended New Trier High School, holds a B.A. in Economics from Allegheny College, 1996 and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois.
