Sandie Smith recently joined The Abbey Company to Market their Retail Properties, after establishing a successful career in Retail Real Estate Brokerage at CBRE, Grubb & Ellis, and Voit Real Estate. In the last ten years, she has been involved in transactions with a total consideration of over $748 Million, including ± 1.28 million square feet of retail space leases; 480,000 square feet of gross leasable area in investment sales; 258,000 square feet of building sales; and has averaged 40 completed transactions per year.
Native to the Inland Empire, Sandie is attuned to its various market profiles and demographics, as well as the driving and shopping patterns of its residents. She can identify areas of emerging retail growth throughout the region. Ms smith has assisted many chain and local restaurants and retailers in selecting sites; landlords in leasing retail properties throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties; and has been successful in helping clients buy and sell acreage, as well as shopping centers and freestanding buildings. Sandie has helped many national retailers with site selection, including (to name only a few): Chevron, AT&T, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, McDonald’s, Panera Bread and Wendy’s. Landlord clients include Lewis Retail, Cahan Properties, and the Ayers Group. And, they have been successful with the disposition of surplus properties for Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, Wells Fargo, Allstate, and Starbuck’s.
