Scott has built his career on assisting law firms, corporations and nonprofit associations with various transaction structures, implementing some of the most complex real estate solutions in Washington D.C. and beyond. His professional, transparent approach has earned him a reputation as one of the Washington D.C. area’s most trusted commercial real estate tenant advisors. Scott’s approach is to gain a complete understanding of each client’s business which allows him to execute the most effective ways to improve their short and long-term planning strategies. His specialties include strategic planning, benchmarking, forecasting, financial analysis, and transaction execution for leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. To date, Scott has completed nearly 15 million SF of real estate transactions totaling over $1 billion in total value for some of the nation’s top companies, including Shearman & Sterling, Williams & Connolly, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, Womble Bond Dickinson, and Wilkinson Walsh. Most notably, he led the teams advising Williams & Connolly in their 300,000 SF relocation to Phase 2 of the new Wharf waterfront development in Southwest Washington, D.C. and EAB Global which involved a 150,000-square-foot lease renewal, the disposition of a 16-year 137,000-square-foot lease, and the termination of 65,000 square feet. This transaction resulted in over $100 million dollars in real estate savings for the client. Currently, Scott serves as an Executive Vice President where he is regularly consulting with occupiers on identifying, evaluating and executive a customized real estate strategy that aligns an organization’s business with its real estate needs. To date, he has completed assignments on four continents in 15 cities. Prior to joining CBRE, Scott served as a Vice Chairman for Savills, where he was appointed the global account manager for Shearman & Sterling and APCO Worldwide for eight years. Before that, Scott spent seven years at Cushman & Wakefield as a senior director.
