Bio
Scott brings over 20 plus years of commercial real estate experience to the team. Scott began his real estate career with Albertsons, Inc. in 1992 as an economic analyst. In this position, Scott presented site location and feasibility studies directly to top management and addressed strategic objectives. In 1996, Scott was presented with a new opportunity in commercial real estate and joined a small boutique commercial finance company, Commercial Lending Corporation (CLC). CLC was one of the pioneering companies originating and securitizing commercial and franchise restaurant loans. While at CLC Scott polished his real estate skill set by understanding the underwriting and leveraging component used in the acquisition of commercial real estate. Scott’s main responsibility at CLC was to assist in the development of the lending platform and the origination of Commercial Mortgage Back Securities (CMBS) nationwide. In the spring of 1997, Commercial Lending Corporation was sold to Amresco, Inc. Scott stayed with Amresco’s Commercial Finance division and was appointed the west coast regional loan officer for the convenience store finance division, which consisted of 23 states. In January of 2001, Amresco, Inc. sold the CLC assets to Fortress, Inc. out of New York, and the lending operations were closed shortly thereafter. Scott was asked to work under a contract with a division under Fortress to analyze mezzanine and source high yield debt for the Drawbridge Fund. In 2004, Scott decided he enjoyed the front end of commercial real estate and went back to the commercial real estate market by becoming a commercial real estate agent and brokering transactions. Throughout Scott’s career, he has developed a well rounded background in the real estate industry which includes comprehensive experience in site location, market analysis, sales, finance, personal client relations including building trust, communication, account management, negotiation and closing transactions.
