Scott joined NAI Shames Makovsky in 2005 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously served as CFO for AmeriVest Properties, Inc., a publicly-held REIT, and several private real estate companies involved in acquisition, development, leasing and property management. He began his career in public accounting working for a large national CPA firm in its Denver, Atlanta and Dallas offices.
Scott is a Denver native and has run 20 marathons. He is married and has a daughter and son who are busy growing up.
Scott is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Colorado and American Societies of Certified Public Accountants. Scott has also taught income tax courses at the University of Colorado at Denver as an adjunct professor.
