Scott Sowanick joined Stream in 2015 and currently serves as a Managing Director of the Industrial Development Services division. Based in Irvine, California, Scott is responsible for the strategic direction, origination and delivery of all industrial development efforts in the Western Region. Since 2019, he has originated a nearly two million square foot Southern California (SoCal) development portfolio and has additionally secured an over two million square foot development pipeline within the region. In 2020, Scott was selected to serve on the Women of Stream Sub-Committee, which focuses on addressing gender diversity, inclusion, mentorship, and improving the recruitment and retention for women within the firm. Prior to Stream, Scott earned his Masters of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin where he served as the Co- President of the Graduate Real Estate Society, Co-Founder of the McCombs Real Estate Private Equity Fund, Portfolio Manager on the McCombs REIT Fund, and member of the McCombs Admissions Committee. Before business school, he served as a Vice President in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s global institutional equities business where he worked in New York, London and San Francisco. He currently serves as a Council Member for the Texas Real Estate Center at The University of Texas at Austin, a member of the NAIOP Inland Empire Chapter, and an Alumni Mentor for Princeton Men’s Lacrosse Program. Scott was a 4-year starter on the Princeton Men’s Lacrosse Program where he was also Team Captain, a 2x All-American, and a 3x All-Ivy League selection.
