Sean Wood is Vice Chairman of Newmark, located in Newmark’s Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina office. Wood and his senior partners Dean Smith and John Heimburger are responsible for leading the day-to-day operation and execution of all multifamily brokerage throughout the Carolinas. Since joining Newmark in 2007, Wood has been involved in over $13 billion of multifamily investment sales throughout North and South Carolina totaling over 130,000 apartment units. He has worked with a broad range of clients in the Carolinas including pension fund advisors, insurance companies, REITs, developers, family offices, and a host of private capital groups. Wood has also facilitated many joint-venture equity placement or recapitalization on both new construction and existing redevelopment opportunities for developers and value add groups.
Prior to joining Newmark, Wood worked in Houston, Texas with Brookfield Properties for the company’s leasing, development, and acquisition of high-rise office properties.
