Shervonne Cherry is an innovative and driven entrepreneurial ecosystem builder, who utilizes collaborative community building, design thinking, and startup advocacy to provide unique solutions for organizations. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Shervonne has worked in both the corporate, government, and startup technology sectors for over 18 years.
Shervonne heads community development and ecosystem growth for Spark Coworking, collaborative workspaces for growing technology focused companies, creatives, and entrepreneurs, with locations in Baltimore, Kansas City, St. Louis and Arlington, Texas. Prior to launching Spark Coworking's brand and flagship Baltimore location in 2016, Shervonne was the Program Manager for Dreamit Health Baltimore, a venture capital and seed accelerator for health technology focused startups. She has a passion for design & technology and is actively involved in the Baltimore technology community as an ecosystem organizer and startup advocate. Shervonne continues the expansion of the Spark Coworking brand with the September 2020 launch of Spark Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri, June 2021 launch of Spark St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri, and February 2023 launch of Spark Arlington in Arlington, Texas. These latest Spark Coworking community spaces will bring hospitality-focused flex workspace for the growing Midwest and Southwest ecosystems. She is currently focused on the 2023 launch of Spark Flex in Baltimore, Maryland.
Shervonne is an organizer and speaker in the Baltimore technology community, who has organized event such as Betascape, the Education Technology Innovation Summit, TEDxMidatlantic, TEDxHampdenWomen and Baltimore Women in Tech events. She has also spoken on podcasts and events, such as the Startup Hustle, Anatomy of a Strategy, GCUC Coworking Podcast, Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit, Wearables+Things, IgniteBaltimore, Baltimore Innovation Week, WOWBaltimore - on coworking community management, diversity in startup culture, representation in the workplace, and social media culture.
