Spencer is the Director on the Residential & Commercial Loan Sale team at Mission Capital. His responsibilities include loan valuation, property underwriting, deal preparation, due diligence, market research, and deal origination.
Prior to joining Mission, Spencer was a Whole Loan Acquisitions Associate at Waterfall Asset Management, a $9bn Structured Credit Asset Manager. While at Waterfall, Spencer was responsible for sourcing & evaluating investment opportunities across non-agency residential, commercial, consumer, reverse, HELOC, and investor loans (both on a flow and bulk pool basis). Prior to focusing on deal sourcing, Spencer was responsible for various aspects of loan due diligence, including credit underwriting, property valuation, tax & title, and collateral analysis, across legacy loan portfolios. Spencer graduated from Tulane University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
