Mr. Meltzer, who joined the Edgewood Development Company in January of 2018, has been providing legal representation for residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects for over 25 years. He has extensive experience representing developers, abutters and municipalities in land use, zoning and permitting matters at the local board level and in the Massachusetts trial and appellate courts. His background also includes deal structuring and negotiations, real estate purchase, as well as sale and exchange transactions for major residential and commercial properties and the formation, governance and representation of related business entities and partnerships. Mr. Meltzer has also served as a member of the Town (now City) of Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals since 2006. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton, is the Founder and Executive Director of the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust, as a Trustee and was active for many years as a coach, board member and treasurer of the Framingham United Soccer Club, and formerly served as a Board Member of the Framingham History Center.
Education
Mr. Meltzer graduated Magna Cum Laude from New England Law, Boston and served as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing and as a Legal Fellow at New England Law for many years and was a Senior Fellow at the Conservation Law Foundation.
