Specializing in retail, office, industrial, multi-family and commercial properties, Stephen Westerberg is recognized as one of the region’s top investment sales executives. During his 17+ year career, he has participated in over $1.5 billion in transactions, and has worked with hundreds of satisfied clients. Mr. Westerberg’s property owner representation in 100% client focused, delivering results that surpass competing brokerage firms and market expectations. With a detailed approach to underwriting, financial analysis and pre-market preparation, Mr. Westerberg enhances his value proposition for his clients by maximizing their return on investment. As an advisor, Mr. Westerberg provides insight to increase long-term investment value for his clients with strategic input on monetization strategies, through disposition, refinancing and 1031 exchange transactions.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Westerberg headed the Connecticut and Westchester investment sales divisions for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank and Colliers International. His clients include: some of the area’s leading institutions, including Bank of New York, Ceruzzi Properties, Fareri and Associates, Kamber Management, Kensico Properties, Wells Fargo and Trinity Partners. While at Newmark he notably executed the sale of 2 Soundview in downtown Greenwich for $30.5 million, 411 West Putnam, a class A office building for $50.5 million, a six-building retail portfolio on Greenwich Avenue for $23.5 million, and a three-building retail over office portfolio at 98-102 Greenwich Avenue for $24 million. Other notable transactions included 165 Rowayton Avenue in Norwalk Connecticut, a 10,200-square foot retail and office property and 211 Post Road, a well located 8,700-square foot shopping center in Westport Connecticut.
Mr. Westerberg resides in Connecticut. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder and is a graduate of the CCIM Real Estate Market and Financial Analysis program. He is a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Greenwich Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing with his dog Matouk, along with swimming, skiing, traveling, and attending cultural outings with his wife of 23 years and their two sons.
