Bio
Stephen W. Yndo, a native of San Antonio, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985 and studied at the San Antonio extension of the National Autonomous University of Mexico from 1987 to 1990. Steve began his career in 1985, first with Peacock Realtors and then in 1987 joining NAI/Colglazier Properties, working in the brokerage of office and industrial real estate with a wide array of users on a local, regional and national level, both corporate and private. In 2002, Steve left NAI/Colglazier Properties to start his own firm with the goal of merging his experience in both user real estate and development for the benefit of his clients. Steve is bilingual (English/Spanish), received his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member in 1993, became an Active Industrial Member of the Society of Office and Industrial Realtors in 1996, and has served as Chairman of the NAI Industrial Council. NAI is an international real estate services firm with over 3,000 members and 200 offices worldwide. Steve was the recipient of the 1999 NAI Industrial Council Leadership Award. Having assisted clients over the years with their own projects, Steve's independent development experience began in 1999 with the re-development/adaptive re-use of a 38,000 SF former 1920’s warehouse facility into the King William Lofts, an eleven-unit loft condominium project, and later the re-development of a 1940’s auto dealership into retail/office space, as well as numerous user re-habs on behalf of clients and his own account. His more recent projects include the 100,000 SF adaptive re-use of the former St. Benedicts Hospital to a mixed use residential and retail center, the LEED Silver Madison Street Garden Home project, and on-going for-sale townhome projects in the Pearl and King William areas. Having lived and/or worked since 1983 in the Historic King William area of San Antonio, Steve is a past President of the King William Association and the Southtown Urban Main Street Program. He has served on the Downtown Advisory Board for the City of San Antonio, on the board of the Museo Alameda, is a past board member of the San Antonio/South Texas Chapter of CCIM and the Commercial Investment Division of the San Antonio Board of Realtors, has served as Treasurer of the Central Texas Chapter of the Congress for New Urbanism, is a past Chair of the San Antonio District Council of the Urban Land Institute, and currently serves on the Board of the Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation.
