Mr. Centrella is responsible for the analysis, evaluation, negotiation and due diligence of potential private real estate investments. His primary responsibilities center on yield driven assets and managing both the Acquisitions and Research & Analysis personnel and functions. Mr. Centrella is a member of Intercontinental's Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Intercontinental in 2005, Mr. Centrella was an executive director with Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for the acquisition of multifamily and commercial properties nationwide. Previously, he was a senior investment officer for Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for making attractive mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint venture equity investments. Mr. Centrella has held various positions with other institutional real estate advisors. He was a senior investment officer at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, a vice president in the Capital Markets Group at AEW Capital Management (f/k/a Aldrich, Eastman, & Waltch), and vice president of Fleet Financial Group, Inc./Recoll Management.
Mr. Centrella earned his BS from Lake Forest College. He is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council, Real Estate Finance Association and the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties.
