As part of his professional training, he moved into the commercial property sector working in areas including industrial, retail, office, investment and development. Stuart achieved a Diploma in Surveying in 1995, and was elected a professional associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1998 and is now an approved RICS Registered Valuer.
Accompanied by two fellow surveyors, Stuart set up Woodhead Sharpes Ltd (known as Woodheads) in 2001. Woodheads initially dealt with a variety of residential and commercial work including valuation, professional and agency. Between 2005 and 2020, Stuart joined forces with Mark Brearley & Company in Shipley in order to expand into the commercial sector, but Woodheads now offers these services independently.
Stuart has excellent experience in all aspects of commercial property including acquisitions, lettings, sales, valuations, professional work, rent reviews and lease renewals. In addition, he provides development advice to clients and deals with all aspects of commercial & residential property management issues.
