With a decade of experience primarily leasing retail space in the Greater Washington, DC region, Taylor re-joined CBRE at the start of 2021. His value as a retail strategist stems from a fresh perspective and passion for making the region a vibrant and successful retail destination.
While representing tenants, Taylor is adept at creating market rollout strategies that place retailers in trade areas that set them up for success. Taylor also works with many smaller groups who may be opening their first or second brick and mortar location, and he recognizes the trust these groups place in him to properly position their business. After site selection, Taylor gathers market intelligence to ensure deal terms are aligned with market rates. Taylor also leverages his vast market knowledge and contacts throughout the region to locate “off-market” opportunities not available to the public.
While representing landlords, Taylor listens to owners to fulfill their vision for their asset. From working with Real Estate Investment Trusts to smaller one-off landlords, Taylor’s pulse on the market enables him to place active tenants in the market within his portfolio. Taylor also works with numerous developers in the pre-development phase of their projects to ensure the retail space is properly programmed to allow for its intended use. For larger projects, Taylor creates best in class merchandising strategies and, once approved by the owner, will then target these retailers with direct contact.
Throughout his career, Taylor has efficiently managed relationships with numerous institutional landlords, national retailers, mom-and-pop operators, celebrity chefs, banks, live music venues, and developers. Taylor’s clients recognize his commitment to achieving their respective goals in the shortest amount of time, while also delivering honest and timely feedback.
Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University.
