Theodore (Ted) Kokernak is an investment specialist in the firm's founding Palo Alto office and has been associated with Marcus & Millichap continuously since 1981. As a Senior Managing Director and Director in the National Retail Group, Ted exclusively represents buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of investment properties throughout the country and is experienced in the sale of retail centers, NNN leased investments, office buildings, mixed-use properties, warehouse complexes, industrial parks, self-storage facilities and apartment complex properties. Ted is ranked near the top of all agents nationwide for career earnings at the firm and has received numerous awards, including the Chairman's Club Award and National Achievement Awards. Mr. Kokernak’s professional affiliations have included membership in of the Urban Land Institute, International Conference of Shopping Centers, Tri County Apartment Association, Inside Self Storage Association and the Self-Storage Association as well as MLS, LoopNet and Costar. Ted formed the Kokernak Group within Marcus & Millichap, to provide individualized market analysis, investment opportunities, market strategies, contract management and extensive negotiating experience to successfully close transactions for the group’s clients. The Kokernak Group achieves wealth creation for clients by providing strategies to maximizing returns through repositioning underperforming assets. Within the firm, Mr. Kokernak and the team have closed over 300 transactions with values in excess of $1 Billion.
