Bio
With more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and vast knowledge of the South Florida and Treasure Coast markets, Tom Burst leverages his expertise and qualifications to advise clients on all aspects of commercial real estate, from disposition to tenant representation, with a primary focus is on Landlord Representation for office and industrial buildings in South Florida and the Treasure Coast. As a trusted advisor to building owners, Tom has a storied history of success in turning around troubled properties by focusing on their individual strengths, and designing specific marketing plans to capitalize on those strengths, maximizing value through leasing, and ultimately selling each unique asset.
Tom's philosophy is to build long-term client relationships through hard work and a steadfast commitment to integrity. After completing multiple transactions over a period of years with his clients, he feels that his success is defined by his client base and the longevity of his client relationships.
Before joining Colliers, Tom was the owner of Burst Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc., which he founded in 1996. Burst originally began his career in the commercial real estate industry as an associate with CB Commercial Real Estate Group (now CBRE) specializing in the sale and leasing of office properties in Palm Beach County. While at CB, Tom was the top producer in the West Palm Beach office market and one of the top producers for CB Commercial in South Florida.
Tom has worked extensively with the Boy Scouts of America, is a volunteer Hunter Safety Instructor with the Florida Wildlife Commission, and current President of Ducks Unlimited.
