Tom entered commercial real estate in 1979. He was an associate broker with a local real estate company for 6 years and then left to take over Forkner Realty Company, a company started by his grandfather in 1932. Tom deactivated Forkner Realty Company in 1991, and formed The Quin Group, where he is an associate broker and the current CFO. Tom specializes in land development as well as the sale and leasing of office, retail and industrial properties.
Tom is heavily involved in the community as well, donating time and serving on the board of numerous non-profit organizations. In 2011 Tom was awarded Volunteer of the year for his work developing and teaching a martial arts program for adults with developmental disabilities. In spite of all of his business and community responsibilities, in 2013, Tom was able to realize a lifelong goal of attaining his 4th Degree black belt for Master level in the traditional Korean art of Tang Soo Do.
