In what year did you begin working in the real estate industry as a REALTOR®? 2013 Why do you like working in the real estate industry? He loves helping clients navigate through the buying or selling process and realize their real estate goals. In what year did you become affiliated with Semonin Realtors®? 2013 Why do you choose to be part of Semonin? Semonin offers the tools, support and environment to allow him to do his job and worry about the clients’ needs versus all the other things that can take hid focus away from his clients. What do you do to stay up to date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry? He is active in GLAR (Greater Louisville Association of Realtors), where he serves on the Board of Directors and on various committees. He also takes part in various training and career development programs offered by Semonin and GLAR. What else would you like people to know about your work as a REALTOR®? We have a team of contractors and vendors who can help with about anything that relates to purchasing or selling a home. Our job is to make the buying and selling processes seamless and stress-free. We never want to just sell you a home or sell your home. Our goal is to make you a “RAVING FAN!!” What did you do before you began working in real estate? He worked in retail management for 32 years. Are you involved in any trade/civic or community associations? He enjoys volunteering in the industry. As previously mentioned, He’s a member of the GLAR Board of Directors. He’s chairman of the GLAR Finance Committee and a member of various GLAR committees. Who is your immediate family? He’s married to a native Louisvillian, and we have three cats. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? He likes to play golf, watch or attend about any type of sporting event, watch TV and go on cruises with his wife. What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? “Don’t worry about the money—do the right thing for the right reason often enough, and the money will take care of itself.” What is your favorite book/type of book? Any Vince Flynn novel. He enjoys his writing style and his story lines. What is your favorite movie/type of movie? Why? “Hoosiers.” He played grade school basketball in the gym that was home to the Hickory team in the movie, and as a native Hoosier, He takes pride in our basketball heritage. What is your favorite song/type of music? Why? He loves country music. If you could wave a magic wand, what one thing would you most like to change in the world? Everyone would treat other people in the manner in which they want to be treated—the “Platinum Rule.” What are two or three items on your Bucket List? He wants to play golf at St Andrews Links, “The Home of Golf,” spend a week at one of the hotels that has units over the ocean and tour Europe. If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be? Why? His Grandfather. He taught him a lot, and he would like to spend a couple of hours with him again. What is your favorite word? “We,” because very little of what we do or accomplish is done without the help of others. What is your least favorite word? “I,” because very little of what we do or accomplish is done without the help of others. Do you have a motto/word to live by? “Most things in life are about ‘want to.’ It’s just how much you ‘want to.’” Do you have a favorite quote? “If we are all involved in the decision, there will be no one to blame.”
