Thomas Masaschi, co-founder and managing partner of DHD Ventures, is based in Rochester, NY. Tom brings more than 15 years of experience in real estate where he has overseen the development of complex projects, ranging from commercial and office to mixed use developments and student housing.
Prior to founding DHD Ventures, Tom spent 4 years with Pyramid Companies, the largest privately-owned developer of destination centers in the Northeast. At Pyramid, Tom was responsible for all facets of real estate development from general construction management to leasing of destination shopping centers; his accomplishments include 20 regional shopping centers, the most notable of which is a 3-million square foot mall outside of New York City. In 2000, Tom left Pyramid to focus on expanding and managing his real estate portfolio of over 1600 residential units and 500,000 square feet of office and retail space.
This combination of experience in both residential and commercial real estate markets provides his expansive knowledge base and contributes to the success of DHD Ventures. Tom obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology where he was an All-American hockey and lacrosse player, and is a member of the RIT Sports Hall of Fame. Tom is married with two sons and has lived in Rochester for more than 20 years.
