r. Upson joined McCann Realty Partners in June of 2013 and is located in our Richmond office. He is responsible for acquisitions throughout the Southeast and Southwest, and operations on all existing properties.
Prior to joining McCann Mr. Upson was a Director of Asset Management for ONEX Real Estate Partners, helping to manage approximately 2,000 multifamily units located in New York City, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa. Prior to ONEX, Mr. Upson worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in their real estate investment banking group. At BofA Merrill he worked on over $4 billion in transactions of various types including equity and debt issuance and M&A. From 2005 through 2008 Mr. Upson worked for KBS Inc., a general contractor located in Richmond, Virginia. From 2003 through 2005 Mr. Upson worked for SCS Engineers, an environmental consulting firm.
Mr. Upson has a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
