Bio
Tom White has been a commercial real estate broker and land developer for 40 years. He was an original owner of The Mega Corporation in 1979, a commercial brokerage and management company. In 1981, after selling his interest in Mega, Tom founded Continental Financial Services and worked with investors around the country while continuing to market and develop commercial properties in Nebraska.
In 1990, he began Ridge Development Company with another party with the primary goal of developing land for residential and commercial uses. In the 15 years that followed, and with Tom serving as the President of Development for the company, Ridge developed or co-developed thousands of acres of land in the Lincoln, NE area. Tom has been involved in the development of approximately 5,000 acres of land since 1990 including present developments that have been started by a new company—called White Development Company—formed with his son Zachary. Even though company names have changed, the goal of quality projects is still at the forefront of the new development company. Tom also owns ZSA Realty Group with his son, which is a full service commercial real estate brokerage company.
In addition to all the residential and commercial land development projects Tom has been involved with over the last 25 years, he has also been instrumental in the development of many signature downtown projects including Gold’s Galleria, LES Corporate Office Building, Corporate Center and the Rococo Theatre, which involved more than 500,000 square feet of historic rehabilitation. A few significant residential/commercial land development projects Tom has completed in Lincoln include The Ridge, The Highlands, Pine Lake Heights, Stone Ridge Estates, Wilderness Ridge, Pine Ridge and current on-going projects such as Waterford Estates, Village Meadows Commercial Center and SW Village Heights.
Additionally, Tom has participated in a considerable number of commercial brokerage sales around the country since 1980. As a native of Hastings, NE, Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska and has served on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln YMCA and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
