Tim Knight is founder and president of Knight Commercial Real Estate, LLC (KCRE), a metro - Atlanta based commercial real estate firm licensed in Georgia and Florida. KCRE specializes in commercial brokerage of retail investment properties, buildings and land. In addition, their core services include land planning, development of retail and office properties, leasing of retail and office properties, commercial asset management, and consulting.
Tim has over 25 years of experience working in the commercial real estate industry. He began his career working for a large apartment developer (14,000 units) in the mid-1980's. From there Tim worked for 13 years at Ben Carter Properties where he served in roles as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Senior Vice President of Land Investments. During Tim's tenure with Ben Carter Properties, he was involved in the planning and development of over 6 million square feet of premium retail shopping centers and office buildings including: The Mall of Georgia‚ in Buford, Georgia; Columbus Park Crossing‚ in Columbus, Georgia; St. John's Town Center‚ in Jacksonville, Florida; Conyers Crossroads‚ in Conyers, Georgia; Johnson City Crossing‚ in Johnson City, Tennessee; and The Piazza at Paces‚ in Atlanta. Tim's involvement in these properties ranged from pre-development budgeting and planning, proforma analysis and review, assisting with deal financing, partnership structure and reporting, financial analysis, and ultimately, project leasing and land sales.
Since 2006, Tim has owned his own firm and continues to specialize in retail development and commercial brokerage. Tim has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) for many years and attends numerous ICSC trade shows and conventions. He is currently a member and group leader of Real Professionals First Network in Atlanta and is actively involved with the Hall County Chamber of Commerce in economic development. He has active relationships with dozens of national retailers. A partial list of retailers Tim has completed deals with include Darden Restaurant Group (Olive Garden, Longhorn, Red Lobster), Wells Fargo, Fidelity Investments, Flagstar Bank, SunTrust Bank, HH Gregg, Rooms To Go, Ethan Allen, McDonald's, Wendys, Arby's, Food Lion, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Chick-Fil-A, Jared Jewelry, and Quick Trip.
