Over his 39-year career, R. Todd Doney, Vice Chairman at CBRE’s headquarters in Los Angeles, has completed commercial real estate transactions encompassing over 100 million square feet of office space. Todd is a preeminent broker in the greater Los Angeles area. His success on behalf of tenants, investment clients, and landlords is unparalleled. He has represented major institutional tenants such as, Nestle, Dentons US LLP, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, KPMG, GE/NBC, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Southern California Edison, AECOM and BP. During his career, Todd has received numerous real estate awards and accolades. For the past 23 years Todd has consistently ranked in the top 3% of the company. In 2006 he was the most successful office broker for the company in the entire U.S. excluding the New York Metropolitan area. In 2009, Todd was recognized as the most successful broker in the Western United States and the ninth most successful broker in the company globally. He has been recognized by The Los Angeles Business Journal as the “Top Los Angeles Broker” numerous times including most recently in 2019. He was further singled out by receiving the prestigious Edward S. Gordon Memorial Award for his relentless drive to be the best, challenging himself and those around him. In 2019, Todd was recognized as one of Los Angeles’ top 25 most powerful real estate professionals in Commercial Observer’s annual LA Power List. For four years running (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022) Todd has been named as “One of the 500 Most Influential People in L.A.” in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s LA500 List. He has published articles and lectured at national real estate conferences, U.C.L.A. Graduate School of Management, and U.S.C Master of Real Estate Development program. Todd maintains a high level of community and charitable involvement. He was on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and chaired the Board Development Committee of the San Gabriel Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2008, he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award, the highest Boy Scout honor given to leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Council. Todd is also on the Advisory Board and Development Committee for the Hathaway-Sycamores and is on the Board of the Metropolitan YMCA. Todd is a member of the Jonathan Club, the Valley Hunt Club, the San Gabriel Country Club, where he served as President in 2000, and the California Club, where he is the current President. Todd has been married for 33 years to Michele. He has three children. His oldest, Claire, graduated from Boston College and currently works in CBRE’s consulting practice. His son graduated from USC’s Marshall School of Business and started his own team-based boutique fitness company, and his youngest daughter Faith received her bachelor’s degree from USC, and most recently graduated from the University of Chicago with her master’s degree. In addition to golf, Todd enjoys tennis, basketball, fly fishing and basically anything outdoors.
