Todd is a 1993 graduate of the American University in Washington, DC with a major in Business, with an emphasis on Real Estate and Urban Development. After College, he spent 1½ years as a commercial appraiser in an effort to learn how to value real estate. In 1994, Mr. Malamut joined one of the premier retail, tenant representation firms in the DC area, National Real Estate Brokerage. In 2011, National Real Estate Brokerage became NREB, LLC, of which he is a principal and broker in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Todd's main focus has been on retail brokerage. Within retail, he has done a significant amount of landlord representation work and has brokered the sale of numerous properties. Todd also does focused landlord representation, most significant of which is in Georgetown, Washington, DC. Mr. Malamut was the President of the Site Source Retail Broker Network (www.sitesource.com) from 2009 to 2014. A position that offered a wonderful experience working with and learning from some of the best brokers from all around the country. In his personal life, Todd is a competitive amateur golfer and multiple club champion at Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, MD and a drummer in a band called the Mules ("I needed something to do in the winter" - Todd).
