Bio
Thomas is a Minnesota native (New Ulm) and one of 7 children. He was active in High School sports such as football, basketball, track, and youth choir, chess club. He enlisted in the USAF (Shaw AFB, SC | 3 years) and later became a graduate of the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) majoring in Biology. During his time there, he also played basketball for the Gamecocks for 3 years, was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and attended USC Graduate School (microbiology). Although he was accepted to dental school (Emory University, Atlanta), he decided that working in an office for a lifetime was not for him.
Thomas lived in New York City for two years while modeling for Wilhelmina Models and acting for Davien Littlefield Mgt. He then moved to Los Angeles and began his real estate career at Fred Sands of Malibu (now Coldwell Banker Malibu), specializing in land sales and development. He was also a member of the Malibu Board of Realtors for 8 years. Thomas started his own custom residential development company called Ocean West Development and built several luxury Malibu homes in the nine years he was there.
He met his wife Tiffany (Pepperdine Univ.|Graduate) and had their two children in Malibu: Masey & Kyle. They eventually moved to Tiffany's hometown in Olympia to raise their kids near family. Thomas then started his own company, Sandpiper Homes & Development, and built several residential and commercial projects before working for Triway Enterprises (Cabela's, Horizon Point, Cooper Crest, and The Reserve at Cooper Point,).
Thomas joined RE/MAX Parkside in 2016 and specializes in commercial/development/land and residential sales while also working on his own local personal real estate developments. He has been a member of the Thurston County Realtors Association Board of Directors since 2016 and currently serves as the Board Commercial Director for 2023-2024. He was also the Commercial Director for 2019, 2020, and 2023 and served as the Board President in 2021. Additionally, he is a Washington State Director for 2021 and serves on the Finance Committee for 2023. Thomas is a committee chairperson for Awards, TCFB Golf Tournament, Elections, Investment, and TCMP Task Force.
