The principal of Drake Commercial Properties is Tommy Drake, a Rocky Mount, NC native. Tommy earned his BS/BA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975, followed by an MBA in 1979 from the same institution.
He begin his career working for Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company with primary duties being land acquisition and disposition. Six years later, he joined Cushman & Wakefield's Raleigh office, as a commercial broker. After realizing much success as a commercial real estate broker, he started Drake Commercial Properties in 1987.
