The last 12 of those years were spent at NewsRadio 92.3/AM1620 – Cat Country 98.7 producing and hosting her popular weekday morning show, PEP Talk with Wendi Summers. Throughout her career, she expanded her network to include a multitude of listeners and clients while also earning the respect of her peers in the communications industry, and has become a well-known Pensacola supporter and mainstay.
Wendi’s love of the Gulf Coast area came in 1994 when she relocated from the Midwest and adopted Pensacola as her new hometown. She is the mother of two children, and in her spare time, can be found at the beach paddle-boarding, snorkeling, jet skiing, biking and simply enjoying all that life along Florida’s Gulf Coast has to offer. Wendi has been involved in many local organizations and charities, such as Impact 100, Autism Pensacola, the Pensacola Humane Society and … She is a founder of the Krewe du Ya Yas and its nonprofit charity, Keeping Abreast Foundation, which offers breast cancer screening and services to men and women in the tri-county area.
