Independent Consultant with focus on the acquisition of income producing and investment commercial properties (retail shopping centers and office buildings).
Ms. Wendy R. Acho possesses a multifaceted financial industry background as a 20-year veteran banker, having served in Retail Banking, General Securities Representative Brokerage Services, Wealth Management and Commercial Banking roles focused on commercial real estate. Ms. Acho transitioned towards opportunity as a contractor for the U.S. government with particular emphasis on the Middle East and emerging/frontier markets investor projects. Ms. Acho served as Managing Director of Investment Strategy and Senior Advisor Banking and Financial Networks for the U.S. Department of Defense’s Task Force to Improve Business and Stability Operations, Iraq (TFBSO). In her role with the TFBSO, she assisted facilitating commercial real estate investment transactions and fostering new commercial opportunities for the Iraq-based industrial base in support of modernization and privatization goals.
Equipped with more than two-decade international commercial real estate banker, previously with LaSalle Bank (Troy, MI), ABN AMRO N.A., Ms. Acho seek to leverage my cross-functional experiences in retail/wealth/commercial banking, business finance and FINRA Securities alongside my previous work in the real estate-based economic development, public private partnerships (PPP, P3s) and foreign direct investments (FDI). In synergy, she is a licensed associate in the sales of commercial real estate, and she serves as Secretary and board member of the Township of West Bloomfield Zoning Appeals Board (ZBA) (2018-2021) alongside related committees dealing with municipal issues.
Ms. Acho was an appointee, Commissioner on the Michigan Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs (2015-2018), State of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, to represent the state and regional policies related to the economic and social impact of Middle Eastern entrepreneurship communities. As well, she was Commissioner, appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm on the Michigan Community Service Commission, State of Michigan (2004-2007) under First Gentleman, Daniel Mulhern. Most recently she was a Board Member, Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion.
