Mr. Parker has an extensive commercial real estate background. As a local South Floridian, Mr. Parker was raised in the commercial real estate industry and witnessed significant change to the urban landscape. At a very young age Mr. Parker was exposed to the investment and development industry. After receiving his B.A. from Florida State University, Mr. Parker was employed by a national retail development company based in South Florida where he worked in all aspects of real estate development and ownership including: market analysis, acquisitions, leasing and property management. Mr. Parker then moved on to work further in the property management and brokerage fields with The Fitzgerald Group, a local commercial real estate services firm where he leased, managed and sold commercial properties throughout Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. During this period, and fueled by his enthusiasm with the industry, Mr. Parker attended graduate school at nights and weekends to earn his M.B.A. in Real Estate Development from Nova Southeastern University. Before starting Dixie Southland Real Estate Corp. Mr. Parker had the opportunity to work at The Staubach Company in Ft. Lauderdale. While at Staubach, Mr. Parker worked with clients such as: Verizon Wireless, FedEx Kinkos, Accor Hotels, Winn-Dixie, Field of Flowers, Cypress Equities, and Nova Southeastern University among others.
Mr. Parker stays actively involved within the community as a Young Leaders Member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP), a member of the Advancement Board at St. Mark’s Episcopal School and as a parishioner at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Mr. Parker is married with two children and lives in Ft. Lauderdale.
