Bio
Bill Evans joined the Tysons office of Avison Young as a Principal in August 2017. Prior to joining Avison Young, Bill was an Executive Managing Director in Cushman Wakefield’s Washington, D.C. office, where he was responsible for the administration and delivery of Tenant Representation services, account management, leadership and strategic direction in the planning, acquisition, management and redeployment of real property assets. With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, his background has developed into working for and supporting large multi-national corporations. Bill understands that Corporate Real Estate’s (CRE) role within an organization is to maximize the utility of the portfolio for the company, governmental agencies or business unit’s strategic needs while minimizing overall cost. From 2001 to 2010, Bill was Senior Vice President for Binswanger, where he managed large office/industrial transactions for world class companies like Cummins, Wal-Mart, Exxon-Mobil, Duke Energy, John Deere, Kohler, Amgen, Comcast, and Nextel. Prior to joining Binswanger, he was the Managing Director of the Irving Group, Inc., directing a 60-person CRE firm in Northern Virginia. Before that, Bill was in the telecommunications field, holding down senior level management positions with Nextel, Cable & Wireless USA, Inc., and MCI Telecommunications, where he directed the construction and real estate development activities of MCI’s Corporate, calling center, sales and headquarters locations nationwide. Bill's recent significant client projects have included managing transactions valued at over $2.5 billion over a 18-year period and managing a global portfolio of over 850+ properties and 55 million square feet.
